Our mechanics are fully Cytec qualifications with many years of experience within the cycle industry.

We aim to turn jobs around within 24 hours unless otherwise stated.

Workshop jobs do not need booking in advance, although we do recommend contacting us before hand to check our lead times.

We request that customers aim to collect their repaired bicycles between the hours of 9.00am to 5.30pm.

To allow the space for other customers to bring along their bicycles for repair, we charge a storage fee of £2.50 per day for up to 1 week and £4 per day thereafter. Exceptions to this need to be agreed prior to dropping your bike off.

We do have temporary parking facilities at the back of the building for those wishing to bring their bikes in by car.

Min Labour Charge @ £7.50 ph/Hourly Labour Charge @ £25.00 ph 

All prices below are labour charges only. Parts are charged separately.

Wear and tear parts include tyres, inner tubes, brake pads, grips and saddles only which are charged seperately along side service charges.

Please note if we need to spend more than 5 minutes cleaning your bike to carry out a job you will be charged a cleaning fee of £7.50, this fee is not applicable to the gold and platinum services.

Below are just some of the very basic jobs we do, for jobs that are not listed below please bring your bike along to us for an inspection.

Servicing 

Silver Service £19.99:

The silver service is a basic safety check and adjustment to the bike.

We will do the following:

• Check and adjust brakes
• Check and adjust gears
• Tighten every nut and bolt where necessary
• Inflate tyres
• Oil chain and necessary parts

Gold Service £39.99

The gold service is an advanced safety check and adjustment to the bike.

We will do the following:

• Check and adjust brakes
• Check and adjust gears
• Tighten every nut and bolt as standard
• Inflate tyres
• Oil chain and necessary parts
• Clean and wipe the bike down
• Re grease and replace bearings where necessary
• No extra charge for fitting of wear and tear parts

Platinum service £79.99

The platinum service is the best you can get, in essence we rebuild the bike from scratch while giving the bike a full de-grease and clean.

We will do the following in stages:

Stage 1: dismantle bike and de-grease/clean

• Dismantle bike completely of every part
• De-grease and completely clean the frame, forks and every component
• Re-tap every thread on the bike where necessary
• Face bottom bracket, head tube, disc brake mounts where necessary

Stage 2: reassemble bike and re-grease/oil

• Assemble the bike part by part
• Re-grease and replace bearings where necessary
• Replace all cables with stainless steel and cable magic lube from Rock N Roll
• Adjust brakes and gears
• Inflate tyres
• Oil chain with extreme lube from Rock N Roll
• Fitting of replacment parts at no extra charge

Other repair labour charges  

Gears & transmission:

Adjust gears: £7.50 single / £12.00 pair

Adjust front or rear and/or replace cable

Fitting a ChainSet: £12.00

Removal and refitting of the chainset and transferring the pedals

Fitting a cartridge bottom bracket: £20.00

Includes cleaning the bottom bracket shell and re-tapping the threads as nessacary *price may increased for damaged or seized components

Replacing chainrings: £12.00

Removal and refitting of damaged or worn chainrings

Fitting a chain: £7.50

Repairing a broken chain, or removal and replacement of a worn chain.

Replacing a freewheel/cassette in a bike: £10.00

Removal of a worn freewheel/cassette and fitting the new replacement from a wheel fitted in the bike.

Fitting a freewheel/cassette to a wheel: £5.00

Removal of a worn freewheel/cassette from a standalone wheel.

Fitting Pedals: £5.00

* price may increase if components are seized

Remove/replace bottom bracket: £15.00

Remove, clean and replace bottom bracket, we allow 1 hour to do this job.

The bottom bracket can be a difficult job and is one of the main parts of the bike that allow you to ride smoothly and safely.

(seized in parts will be charged at the hourly rate) If the parts are seized and difficult to remove we will spray with plus gas and leave soaking for a further hour,this hour is a grace free hour. If after the soaking period the parts are still seized and difficult to remove we then charge the hourly rate of £25)(In severe cases we may have to use heat to remove parts which may damage the surrounding paint, before we use heat we will clarify and agree with the customer first.

Brakes:

Adjust front or rear and/or replace pads/cables: £7.50 single / £12.00 pair

Replace cables or pads and realign brake.  

Disc Brake re-bleed: £20 per brake (includes oil)

Remove and re-bleed of brake, clean calliper

Wheels:

Puncture repair and or replace tyre: any bike any wheel (includes labour and tube)

£10.00 per wheel        £15.00 on the spot (while you wait)(if not interupting with something we are already doing)

Replace wheel: £7.50 / £10.00 Front / rear 

Remove old wheel and replace with new, swap of tyre & tube

Wheel Servicing - front wheel: £7.50

Includes the following: Dismantle and removal of the bearings and axle. Cleaning and inspection of the parts.

Wheel servicing - rear wheel: £12.00

Includes the following: Dismantle and removal of the cassette, bearings and axle. Cleaning and inspection of the parts. *Fitting a replacement free hub body incurs a surcharge of £5.20

Wheel Straightening (Truing) per wheel : £10.00

Straightening minor damage to the wheel. The price may increase subject to extent of damage.

Wheel Building (per wheel): £20.00

Measure spoke length, lace and tension / true wheel

Frame and forks:

Straightening Gear Hanger: £7.50

Re-Alignment of a bent gear hanger.

Checking Frame Alignment: £10.50

Checking the frame alignment both to the rear triangle and main frame, head tube, front fork alignment..

Servicing of the Headset: £20.00

Removal of the headset bearings, cleaning of the related areas, reassembly.

Fitting a front fork.: £20.00

Removal of the original fork, cutting the steerer column to length, fitting of the new fork.

Fitting a pannier rack: £10.00

Fitting a pannier rack.

Fitting a set of mudguards: £12.00

To fit a set of full mudguards.

Fitting a child seat: £12.00

To fit a child seat

Fitting a set of stabilisers: £7.50

To fit a set of stabilisers to a junior bike.

Single Speed Conversion: £30.00

Includes the following: Removal of the necessary multi-gearing parts. Fitting the single speed conversion kit. * price confirmation subject to inspection

Striping and rebuilding a bike for re-spraying: £80.00

To strip and a bike down of its components and prepare the frame and forks for re-spraying. After refinishing, rebuilding the bike. Excludes the re-spray costs

Estimate of Repair: £7.50

We can give you a detailed estimate to make your bike road worthy. *If you agree to proceed with the repair/restoration, this charge is waved.

Insurance Report: £20.00

A detailed inspection report for insurance purposes. This takes covers frame and fork alignment, as well as component inspection.
